The work presents the steps and processes involved in the development of a game that aims to disseminate technical knowledge about intellectual property and patent registration. It presents an overview of the opportunity to use new technologies to spread knowledge through Smartphones. The mobile platform has a large presence in the daily lives of universities, which makes it attractive for the development of technologies that serve as a propagation tool for innovation processes. A bibliographic search of the contents was carried out in the guides of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and its adaptation to the target audience and the implementation platform. To define the stages of the game, it was necessary to develop a Game Design Document (GDD). The game engine defined was Construct 3, for art, Aseprite and for audio the FLStudio tool.
